The House
Set in a rural hamlet, Le Dudy is a traditional stone built house with
ancient oak beams and an enormous Breton fireplace. The house is surrounded
by farmland and orchard with it's own swimming pool and sun deck.
The Local Village
The house is just a short distance from the village of Plumergat with
excellent local boulangerie and is only 10 minutes away from St Ann d'Auray,
a cathedral town with restaurants, bars and local shops. Fifteen minutes
takes you to the market town of Auray with a daily fresh fish market.
Thirty minutes takes you to the coast and the fascinating medieval port of
Vannes. Sample local cuisine from the modest Breton creperie to the finest
restaurants France has to offer.
The Beaches
Within 15 to 20 kilometres of the house, there are many varieties of beaches
from the affluent ones of Carnac and La Trinite to the well known
windsurfing and kitesurfing beaches of Quiberon and Erdeven. In addition,
there is the famous Golf du Morbihan, boasting fabulous beaches and many
islands great for both sailing around and exploring.
